Me.....

Through my life and travels- I have realised that the force that inspires and drives what, where or why I go or do anything - is a deep desire to heighten my own awareness and continue to learn as a spiritual being having a human experience. Learn what you may ask? To learn from my inner human understanding & wisdom and to learn from the immediate environment & holistic Nature that I inhabit. Learn and develop an authentic and productive ability to explore , discover, decode, uncover new and effective positive pathways and recognize and change old unconscious, destructive habits and patterns. Learn to do, to undo, to not do and the power in surrender. Learn more effective ways to communicate, be compassionate and express and grow as an individual and with the community that I support and also sometimes don't quite understand.
Without this desire to learn and grow as a full human I believe there is no real development or change on a micro and macroscopic level...
Through yoga, meditation, the observation of The laws of Nature, music and dance - the combination of these techniques or some may call "tools".... I feel I am moving in a direction that nourishes my heart and soul. I accept that I have much to still surrender to and let go of, which I do find the hardest ‘to do.’
To be able to admit when I behave in fear or unconsciously is a step towards learning and must be done and accepted with kindness and love, not self destructive thoughts. I decide to learn from when I “react” instead of when I authentically and honestly “respond.”
Life is full of wonderful opportunities to learn and grow and I embrace all the challenges and experiences to enhance, heighten and free myself from all that does not serve me. I decide to love and respect myself as I am right now.

The practice of ‘surrender’ is such an important concept and theme to the entire yoga and spiritual philosophy. I have never felt more humbled and properly immersed in the challenging quality of surrender since becoming a mother. it is the most magical and difficult experience that I am committed to navigating with as much consciousness and love as I possibly can. Much love to all the mommas, especially the breast feeding ones out there.
