Come and join Michelle in experiencing the power of Twisting!! Manipulating the entire trunk in an aligned movement creates optimal space and mobility between the vertebrae. This increased mobility and space creation helps to relieve tension, tightness and unnecessary pain in the spine, especially in the lower back. Twists are an effective, natural and healthy way to cleanse and detoxify the inner digestive and reproductive organs. The ability to breathe naturally and into the entire abdomen is also improved through the action of twisting correctly.
In this workshop the important ingredients that make Twists beneficial and safe will be explained and experienced in depth. The ‘Twisting’ asanas work with the water element, and thereby aid our ability to discover our voice of clarity, feel our emotions and communicate our truth with integrity.
We will cover various floor and standing twists, with an emphasis on correct Alignment.
